On a stone's throw of the historical Burg square you'll find the most charming tavern. The owners, Johny and Henk renovated the building of the former pub "De Kluiver" and they named it "De Gouden Kroes" referring to it's medieval use: the home of the goldsmiths. The restored interior brings back the atmosphere of a classic Belgian Café.
Typical Flemish dishes and local beers are served with much care and a sharp eye for detail. These authentical dishes are all freshly made in-house. The hosts of De Gouden Kroes offer you local specialities such as beef stew, chicken vol-au-vent, tartare of beef with fries and mussels (in season). This is only a part of the menu. In the afternoon you can also enjoy Brussels waffles. Come and enjoy the typical Flemish way of life.
